More Input!

Just like Jonny 5 in the eighties cult-classic film “Short Circuit”, we all need some more input from time to time. Whether that means a new Laser hair removal clinic, or a new club to go and get our kicks, the internet is the place to find out all the info. But the internet isn’t the ONLY place where you can find stuff like that out. There are loads more options which you can mine for knowledge, especially if you’re looking for a good club or pub. Here are a few of my secrets.

1) To find a pub with great food and drink, you needn’t only stick to the tried and trusted ones. Why not do a search online in some food forums? Lots of forums have posts written by people who have enjoyed time all over London, not just in the most popular places.

2) Alternatively, listen out wherever you go for those hushed whispers: Monday mornings are the best time. After a great Sunday lunch, the tube is the best place to hear about where Yorkshire puddings are really good and where the gravy really isn’t worth having

3) Post an ad on Gumtree: just ask where some really great pubs or nightclubs are. You’ll be surprised at how many replies you get from like-minded people, and you may even meet a few new friends on there too.

4) Check the cork boards in cafe’s: often, cafe’s will have a board up so people from the community can post up their job ads etc. Very often, new venues will be a bit strapped for cash and this is the perfect place to post an ad for you to read.

5) Start a food group: this would be the perfect place to meet up with people and discuss food, and you can also swap your stories of where all the best pubs and clubs are.
